Dr. Shakeilla Howell is an Integrative & Family Medicine Board-Certified Physician. She completed medical school at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed her Family and Social Medicine Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Shakeilla Howell further completed a two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut, and the University of Arizona. She has worked in various communities from high-income to underserved, engaging families with respect and care.
She has also served as a Clinical Instructor at Columbia University & Weill Cornell Medical College, mentoring other physicians, medical students, and volunteers worldwide.
Her philosophy uses a comprehensive and customized plan with natural and conventional medical interventions to promote wellness and healing. She emphasizes principles that are evidence-based, safe, and effective.
I realized that there was a huge gap between both the conventional medicine world and the natural medicine world. I wanted to find a way to bridge that gap and advocate for my patients so that they could be supported holistically—mind, body and spirit.
