Primary Care That Fits a California Schedule
California is a two-hour drive between neighbors in some counties and a two-hour drive across town in others. Neither should decide whether you get your blood pressure rechecked. Dr. Shakeilla Smithbey, MD, sees patients by video from Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, San Francisco, Fresno, Sacramento, Long Beach, Oakland, and Bakersfield — and just as readily from the Inland Empire, the Sierra foothills, the North Coast, and farm communities up and down the San Joaquin Valley.
Because California sits three hours behind the practice's home time zone, appointment slots land early in your day: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM Pacific, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. For a lot of California patients that means a real doctor's visit before the workday starts.
At Tree of Life Integrative Family Medicine, healthcare goes beyond treating symptoms. We combine evidence-based primary care with lifestyle medicine and integrative healthcare principles — looking at nutrition, sleep, stress, movement, relationships, and emotional well-being — to address the whole person, not just the disease.
